Anthony Cort — Founder, Chairman & CEO — Under his leadership the martial arts industry will be part of the multimedia communications effort of Breakthrough Interactive Group, Inc. As a long time martial artist and marketing professional, Tony brings over 23 years of consumer brand marketing, sales, corporate communications, strategic planning, and production expertise in the development of MAC Experience to create a platform that promotes the martial arts community to the world in a highly effective manner. He is also a martial artist with over 14 yrs of experience in Tae Kwon Do Karate. BS Marketing & Communications, Marist College. Mike du Monceau — Programming & Production — Mike will head the programming responsibilities for MAC Experience. This cable industry veteran and former SVP of Programming for the Discovery Channel and United Artist Entertainment will direct all programming initiatives including original programming development, sourcing and licensing, budgeting and syndication of original programming, and developing the team to support the global programming efforts. BA, English & French; MA Broadcasting & Film; Ph.D. Educational Administration and Film all degrees achieved at University of Maryland. Claude J. Wells — Marketing & Communications — A communications industry veteran with 25 years of award winning marketing communications and business development experience, Claude has supported the growth of HBO, Court TV, and Hallmark Channel. He will develop the marketing strategy and lead the overall corporate marketing, brand development, marketing communications strategies, live events and Internet portal. Claude and his team will integrate all brand activities in the creation and management of the MAC Experience. BA Business Administration, Allen University; MBA University of Colorado. Glenn Moss — General Counsel & Business Affairs — Glenn has over 20 years of legal and business affairs experience in cable programming and operations, broadcast and new media. He was with Court TV for over 8 years, where as SVP, Business Affairs & Affiliate Relations, Glenn was part of the executive team that developed the strategy and negotiated agreements that helped lead Court TV to over 80 million subscribers. Most recently, through MossMedia, Glenn has consulted with a number of start-up networks on distribution, strategic and operational issues. Glenn will be responsible for all legal issues and company agreements and will work with senior management to develop and execute strategic business relationships for all of MAC's operating divisions. BA Binghamton University; JD, Case Western Reserve University. Ethan James — Business Development — Ethan brings more than 10 years of finance, strategic planning and new venture development experience to MAC. His diverse career spans the broadband and cable industries to international technology strategy. He spent five years at Court TV as senior director of affiliate relations and strategic planning. Ethan was also part of the executive team that reversed Court TV’s distribution losses and launched the network’s aggressive growth to surpass 72 million subscribers from 31 million over three years. Though Ethan, himself, is not a martial arts practitioner, he’s an avid fan of kickboxing and a staunch student of the philosophy of balance. He completed his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. John R. Morse, Ph.D. — Research & Planning — Dr. Morse has over 20 years experience in the television arena, directing market research for such companies as A&E, ESPN, Lifetime, NBC Cable, the Hallmark Network, America Online, AT&T Broadband, and Comcast's G4. He has been part of the start-up team for Odyssey, The Tennis Channel, College Sports TV, and The Learning Channel. John is an expert in television audience measurement and has served on Nielsen Media Research oversight committees for over 15 years. He has practiced Yoga and Tai Chi for over 15 years. BA Political Science, Occidental College; MPA Cornell University and Ph.D. in Sociology, New York University. Gavin Peacock, MSI — European Operations — Gavin has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry where he was an executive for some of the world's most prestigious global investment banks. He has developed innovative solutions for the organizations he has worked in and the clients they serve. Gavin's professional affiliations include membership in the Securities and Investment Institute London. He began practicing martial arts 25 years ago. |
