The Martial Arts Channel Participates at EFC's Black Belt Education Summit Combattitude — A Cutting Edge Fitness Program That Blends "Fighting Arts and Fight Choreography" Princeton, New Jersey — February 1, 2006 — The Martial Arts Channel (MAC) announced today an expanded relationship with Chuck Jeffreys, Founder and Creator of Combattitude. Jeffreys will become a senior member of MAC's Health and Fitness Council to lead MAC's national health and fitness initiatives. In addition, Jeffreys will also host an informative high energy health & fitness lifestyle show for people of all ages that will incorporate nutrition, health tips, interviews, injury prevention, conditioning and overall wellbeing that focuses on his cutting edge fitness regime known as Combattitude®. "We are thrilled to have Chuck spearheading our national health and fitness initiatives," said R. Anthony Cort, Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Martial Arts Channel. "Chuck will also have a great deal of involvement in our multimedia initiatives in 2006, including instructional DVD's, broadband programming and lifestyle and health programs online, on-air and in fitness centers nationwide. He is a dedicated family man, a master martial artist, and a passionate visionary. His vast experience led him to create Combattitude, which is a workout like nothing else." Jeffreys has over 35 years experience as a martial artist, a professional stuntman on films like Gladiator, Tears of the Sun, and War of the Worlds, to name a few. He's been Fight Choreographer for films, including Spiderman, Freddie Vs. Jason, Blade: Trinity, and Fight Consultant for God of War (video game) for the PS2. He combined his experience in all three areas to create Combattitude, which is a cutting edge fitness program used by actors and actresses since 1996 to assist them in training for film fight scenes. The program is based on a unique blend of fighting arts and fight choreography called, "The 32." Combattitude is safe for all ages and it gives a great cardio workout and the feel of actual combat without injuries. Participants don't have to have any prior martial arts or boxing experience, and Combattitude has something for all levels — the beginner, the black belt, and beyond. The essential goal of the program is to have fun. To learn more about Combattitude, visit www.combattitude.com or go to www.martialartschannel.com and click on the Overview button. "I am thrilled to be getting more involved with MAC," said Chuck Jeffreys. "Tony Cort is doing what no one else has done for our industry — he is bringing martial arts to everyone online, on-air and in person. MAC is truly a holistic approach to personal development, a promotion of martial arts, and a great integration of technology that gets positive info to people wherever they are. MAC embraces all types of martial arts and personal development, and I am thrilled to be working with the MAC team on their health and fitness initiatives, and to bring Combattitude to the public. MAC and Combattitude fit so well together because they are both working towards achieving positive results in life." Martial arts enthusiasts in the U.S. represent 58 percent of the U.S. population. There are over 28,000 martial arts schools and hundreds of health clubs across the country packing their aerobic schedules with cardio kick boxing, tai chi, yoga and Tae Bo®. It is not surprising that the many forms of martial arts have become an important part of pop culture.
