Breakthrough Communications, Martial Arts Channel Welcomes Dave Kovar Princeton, New Jersey — February 27, 2006 — The Martial Arts Channel (MAC) announced today that Dave Kovar, founder of Kovar's Satori Academy in Sacramento, CA, will join the Martial Arts Channel. Kovar is a member of MAC's education advisory counsel, a radio host, and an on-air broadband personality who will be migrating to the network. Dave Kovar, a seventh degree black belt, has studied martial arts since 1973, and has taught it professionally since 1978. He has a black belt equivalent or higher in 10 forms of martial arts. He won the U.S. Karate Championships in 1988 and was voted the Instructor of the Year by the U.S. Martial Arts Centers in 1992. Along with his brother, Tim, he was inducted into the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1996.
